Here are some of those times where we choose to turn normal into special:
Breakfast date. Whether in the middle of the week before we each head in different directions or on Sunday morning before going to church. Waking up just a little extra early to get to make a fun breakfast to enjoy together is so much fun and a sweet way to start the day. Our breakfast dates are definitely made into a double-treat; In addition to quality time together lately our weekly breakfast dates have become pancake dates. Here are two of our favorite recipes:

Coffee Shop Game Night. We enjoy this kind of time together for its simplicity and a change of atmosphere from our apartment! An easy night of hopping in the car (or on our bikes) to a local coffee shop with our Scrabble Board in hand is so much more romantic than you’d think! It’s that playful and cozy kind of fun. A really neat thing that has unexpectedly come from our game nights has been the opportunity to inspire and meet others.
Pillow Talk. Together we've become intentional about going to bed at the same time and including a time before to pray together, to share with one another our triumphs, our struggles, our hopes and our ideas.
Just because we’re married and seeing much more of one another than when we were dating is no reason for us to get lazy on having dates together. In fact, it’s all the more reason!
